Not another manic Monday

Perhaps this song would have been rewritten had The Bangles experienced the explosive evening I’ve had the chance to experience this past Monday.
In what was originally said/planned to be an easy and relaxed evening out with a friend for a couple of drinks, turned out to be an intense joyride. Coincidences, impromptus and many other funny (sometimes flattering) situations were the main elements of the night. Drinks followed by drinks, shots followed by shots, smiles followed by smiles and of course a lot of laughter in the air. Special yet unexpected guest appearances by some so-called celebrities were also included in the evening’s primetime program which to be quite honest have proven to be more charming in person than we would expect. One would have thought that we’ve all know each other for years had they seen us party together, drink and dance but the truth is that most of them were all new acquaintances. (well almost..).
That friendly and very familiar vibe dominating the air together with everyone’s need to have a good time must have been the secret ingredients in that night’s success. And needless to mention that my friend was once again in the spotlight stealing the show as she immediately became everyone’s favorite!!! What can I say, she’s got that rare charm. She would probably want me to mention that it was also a very tiring night for her but I’m sure she’ll agree that it was also a blast! A second bar visit was mentioned, proposed and closely followed as tradition would have it. While the night was no longer a night but early Tuesday morning, an absolutely delicious home-made gourmet breakfast (full meal) was prepared by my “courageous” friend at early dawn. What better way to end such a marvelous evening. And if you think that that’s all there is, be warned dear reader as Monday was only the beginning! The best is yet to come!
